HERE IS WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
AFTERCARE
Tattoo Aftercare:
What To Do / What Not To Do
Please read carefully. Healing is simple when you keep it clean and consistent.
TO DO - Keep It Simple, Keep It Clean
- Leave the bandage or wrap on for the time instructed by your artist (typically 2–8 hours, or as advised for second skin film).
- Always wash your hands before touching your tattoo.
- Gently cleanse with lukewarm water and a mild, fragrance-free liquid soap.
- Pat dry with a clean paper towel. Do not rub.
- Apply a thin layer of the aftercare product recommended by your artist. Less is more.
- Wash once or twice daily, then lightly moisturize (WITH AFTERCARE CREAM).
- Wear loose, clean clothing over the area.
- Expect peeling and mild itching during healing. This is normal.
- Stay hydrated and well-rested to support recovery.
NOT TO DO - Please Avoid
- Do not scratch, pick, or peel flakes or scabs.
- Do not re-bandage unless specifically instructed.
- Do not soak in baths, pools, hot tubs, the ocean, or saunas until fully healed (approximately 2–4+ weeks).
- Do not expose to direct sunlight or tanning beds. Keep covered while healing, then use SPF once healed.
- Do not apply petroleum jelly, antibiotic ointments, or scented lotions unless advised by your artist.
- Avoid heavy workouts for the first 24–48 hours if they stretch or cause sweating on the tattooed area.
- Keep pets away from the area. No licking or contact.
