SINCE 2021
Stray pepperoni is what happens when a city refuses to lose its artists.
Stray was born during the pandemic, shaped by a moment when many artists in Lisbon suddenly lost their studios and places to work.
With tattoo shops forced to close, we opened our doors to artists who needed space. What started as a small refuge grew into a shared creative environment for artists, makers, and a city that still needed its art.
During lockdown, the only thing that never stopped was food delivery. We started asking ourselves what it would look like if art worked the same way. The idea was to treat art as nourishment: accessible, shareable, and part of everyday life, like a pizza.
Our first projects included prints, ceramics, stickers, and zines packed into pizza boxes and delivered around the city. That playful approach continues to shape how we work today.
We believe art is an essential human need and should feel welcoming to everyone. Stray Pepperoni continues to grow as a creative space in Lisbon where people come for tattoos, but also for connection, discovery, and community.
